Todd Kellett has been announced as a stand-in for the injured Arnaud Tonus and will join hostettler Yamaha Racing team for his debut at Lommel this weekend.
Tonus suffered a concussion just days before the MXGP of the Netherlands and has not yet recovered.
"Todd is a good rider and a fighter with a lot of ambition," said team boss Jef Janssen. "It's a win-win situation for both sides and I think he will take his chance in Lommel."
Kellett has a special talent when it comes to racing tough sand conditions, witnessed by his three-peat of the infamous Weston Beach Race with victories in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
For now, this is a one-race only deal for Kellett.
