THE 2015 World Trials Championship kicks-off this weekend in Japan with the usual format of a two-day event for the flyaway (non-European) rounds, and the format which will be used for all nine rounds of the series this year, making 18 scoring days in total.

Japan – which represents the start of the 20th season of World Championship trials for Takahisa Fujinami, – will be followed by rounds in the Czech Republic and Sweden.

The fourth round will be staged in Britain on the weekend of June 13/14 – which is much earlier in the season than in previous years.

Venue is once again Nord Vue, near Penrith, Cumbria but section plotter Graham Jarvis, himself a former World Round winner, has been busy for weeks giving the site a complete makeover using heavy machinery.

The trial will again utilise the disused quarry as the hub of the event and Graham has moved thousands of tons of rockery to make new sections – including an exciting waterfall and rock pool.

The quarry floor has also been tidied up to make it better for spectators who, if they don't want to move, could spend all day at these spectacular hazards as the area also boasts refreshments and nearby trade stands.

There will again be several sections in the woods, using all natural terrain which also make for excellent viewing and then there will be three totally new sections out on Blaze Fell, which is the rough land just above the quarry.

These will also feature natural sections and only a short walk from the quarry sections.

If you don't want to walk on to the fell, you could skip from the quarry into the trees, but you can still see every section in a single day if you wish.

With the Championship getting underway, interest in the British round is set to really take-off.

And as well as being the only chance to watch the awesome Toni Bou ride outdoors in Britain, as he chases his ninth consecutive World Trials Championship, there's James Dabill leading the all-new Vertigo team into battle and Gas Gas teamster Michael Brown to get behind.

James and Michael are the only Brits to contest the full 2015 World Championship class and deserve all the support they can get.

Nord Vue is just 10 minutes from the M6, north of Penrith, and if you hurry-up there are still great deals on tickets and camping as there is a full weekend of trials-based fun planned to keep you entertained.

Or you can just bag yourself tickets for either Saturday or Sunday. For further info and to order your tickets just log onto worldtrialuk.co.uk
