Now he's Farm'ing!

IT may not have been the perfect start for Keith Farmer but he's leading the P&O Winter Supermoto Series following Saturday's weather-beaten opener at Bishopscourt.Farmer also enjoyed a British championship race win in the final round which produced a double for Christian Iddon.

At least I got three P&O finishes in difficult conditions, said Farmer who is the defending title-holder. Others fell by the wayside and that helped me to take the lead.
From three starts I had a win and two third place finishes, reflected 22-year-old Farmer from Clogher. However, both Christian Iddon and Matt Winstanley were in fine form.
The two English visitors had a win but they suffered a major blow by retiring from the second race won by Farmer.
In the opening moto, it was Iddon in front for the full distance, leaving Farmer and Winstanley to fight for the runners-up spot.
At the finish, Iddon won by two seconds from Winstanley, with Farmer, a further three seconds adrift, in third.
The second leg was an incident-packed affair with former champion, Davy McKee, falling on the first lap when Iddon was the leader with Farmer second.
Then on lap two, Winstanley, from Wigan, went out while Iddon quit on the fourth lap.
I had a tyre problem and that's why I fell off, explained Iddon who hails from Stockport.
Aware of these incidents, Farmer kept his cool and went on to score a comfortable win over another visitor, Lee Jones.
I badly needed that win, admitted Farmer. The track conditions were a bit of a lottery and I suppose I was lucky to stay upright.
At least I knew that I was leading the P&O going into the final race.
