ON Test: 2015 Sherco Enduro
By TMX Archives on 14th Jan 15
SHERCO is pushing hard for a bigger share of the hard-fought enduro market and the French concern, under the guidance of Marc Teissier, now boasts a comprehensive range of genuinely competitive, quality-built, models.
Both the two-stroke and four-stroke models share the very latest chassis, a conventional steel tube chrome-moly design for maximum strength and minimum weight, complimented by a shapely and strong aluminium swinging arm which controls the rear via a linkage system.
All models sport electric start, the two-strokes with a new, lower-mounted unit which drops the centre of gravity. Sherco claim that the system is now as light as a conventional kick-start and associated mechanism.
The Sherco strokers also feature state of the art electronics with the exhaust power-valve controlled via the ignition advance. This makes for a very smooth transition of power, not just a single big hit.
