Motocross

Although I've not been racing things have still been pretty busy this month. Although I've not been racing things have still been pretty busy this month. The riding side has been in full flight and the team have had various training sessions together with both foreign team riders Vilanova and Michel visiting to do some testing and training.I myself have been practising about three times a week and nearly every Sunday - the other lads have also been putting in serious riding as well so credit where credit's due.Right now everything is looking good and hopefully I'll be ready to have a good ride at the Breckland, the first BEC round. Vilanova's coming over for a one-off appearance in the UK at that one so it should be interesting to see how he'll cope with myself and Knighter as well as the Breckland trees.I've been riding at Finningley a lot and can't believe how many riders have been turning up on a weekend - this is great to see. The first round of the Fast Eddy is full and over 350 riders are ready to compete. I'll be riding at Hawkstone and depending on the results of my team members I'll hopefully be able to watch the remaining races.I'm also going to be competing in the second round of the Italian championship which should help me check my speed against the other top E1 riders. Both Albergoni and Oblucki will be there so I reckon it'll be very important as a test before the first WEC.I feel that I'm riding good and hopefully I'll be quick enough to give the boys a hammering - hope so! While I've had some free time I've been putting in some time at the fasteddyracing.com shop - helping out and getting it up and running. It works out quite well as when I have a day off I can go there and sort out all my team stuff away from the kids. We're getting ready for the official team launch at Doncaster and with all the UK Honda MX teams present I'm sure it'll turn into a mini GP rather than a team launch - anyway, it's all good stuff and racing, sorry, practising with the MX boys before Diss can only be good for us.I hope we can have a good day and get all the photos we need for the team. Also, with only four BEC races this year making sure we're ready for the first race is now more important than ever. I know trying to beat Knighter will be hard but I will be giving it 100 per cent this season.Hawkstone has been graded for the Fast Eddy thanks to Joey and PAR homes - so for once Clubman riders can look forward to a smooth track. However, I'm hoping that the track will be rough and ready for us boys as I want it to be a hard race. I don't know if Knighter is riding or not but one thing is for certain - I'm going to be racing as hard as I can for the full three hours. After Hawkstone we'll be heading off to the first WEC in Spain and we plan on arriving a few days before the race so we can relax a little. By the time the WEC kicks off I'll have already done three big events so I should be more than ready.Well that's about it! I've just got to load the van for some practice with Stan the man. Remember, if you need any bits and pieces give the man (Lee) a call at fasteddyracing.comSee ya next month...
