The time has come for AMC Promotions' inaugural Monster Mountain Cup that runs at the popular motocross facility near Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales on July 3. This brand-new evening motocross event is expected to offer a thrilling combination of high-octane racing, engaging activities, and entertainment for all ages, making it a must-attend event for both fans and families.

The promotional team have attracted some of the biggest names in British motocross with British Champions Conrad Mewse, Tommy Searle and Jack Brunell joined by a supporting cast that includes Tom Grimshaw, Dan Thornhill, Taylor Hammal, Ashley Greedy, Tristan Purdon, Joe Brookes, Charlie Cole, Stuart Edmonds and Steven Clarke. These stars will be battling it out for a slice of the £3750 prize fund that is split between the Pro and Expert classes.

Gates for spectators open at 3pm with racing getting underway at 5pm and wrapping up before nine. It’s a hefty race schedule with 85cc, Youth 125/250, Novice/Ladies, Clubman and Pro/Expert classes which means the main races will run at 6:30pm and 8:25pm. There are plenty of other things happening away from the circuit which will make it a great evening of family fun for spectators. The current weather forecast claims it’s going to be a nice summer night which is an absolute bonus.

Monster Mountain is located just to the east of Merthyr Tydfil. If you are heading to the track from Abergavenny, Brynmawr and Ebbw Vale way along the Heads of Valleys Road (A465). Take the A469/B4257 exit towards Bargoed and Rhymney. At the Rhymney interchange, take the 4th exit onto A469, at the next roundabout take the 1st exit. In 1.9 miles turn left and go under the bridge. In roughly 0.9 miles you will then take a right turn and the entrance to the track will be 220ft on your left-hand side. Once you have gone across the railway line you will then follow the road to the right and the event is on the top of the mountain. So give yourself the afternoon off work, collect the kids from school and get yourselves to Monster Mountain for an awesome evening.
