Reliant Ryan!
By TMX Archives on 14th Apr 10

FOLLOWING a brief break over the Easter period, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross and FIM World Championships headed to Houston Texas for the 13th round of the series where Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto secured his seventh win of the series in a hope of realing in series leader, Ryan Dungey.
Over 44,500 eager fans piled into Houston's Reliant Stadium to see what the next part of the AMA Supercross had in store, and they weren't disappointed as Villopoto stormed to a flag to flag victory in the Main event.
As the gate dropped it was Villopoto who stormed into the first corner to claim the Spike Holeshot Award, with Suzuki's Ryan Dungey a close second and Yamaha's Josh Hill third. Villopoto didn't stick around for long though as he quickly began to stretch a gap over the trailing pack.
