Robert's king of the castle!

THE BSMA staged round five of the Pirelli Best of British' Motocross Series at the long established and popular Wiltshire venue of Farleigh Castle.
The first day went like clockwork with brilliant sunshine, but Sunday morning brought heavy rain and fog. After a delayed start, the full programme was completed.
The Junior class started proceedings with Robert Yates having a brilliant weekend with three wins and top spot overall.
A crash in race three gave third placed Henry Williams the win with visitor Jake Deakon taking the first moto and runner-up spot over the weekend. Patrick O'Neill improved over the two days with a second position in race five, giving him fourth overall, just edging out Tyron Cleaver by one-point.
The Small-wheel 85cc class saw a real battle between Jay Thomas and Jordan Godwin with Jay taking first position by four races to one.
The result was not as clear cut as you would imagine, with Jay on the limit on several occasions and hitting the deck but he fought back with some determined riding to beat the smooth style of Jordan who always looked in control.
Curtis Blamy took the other podium position with some consistent riding, despite some mistakes. Charlie Mills and Jack Weaver battled all weekend to take fourth and fifth respectively, well clear of the remainder.
In Big-wheel 85cc, Luke Dean ran away with the first day with three good wins but slippery conditions on day two caught him out and he ended up on the floor.
Josh Brine, taking race four, would have finished further up the field if he had completed heat one, going down under a last corner challenge from second placed Matthew Bayliss, who was never out of the top three all weekend. Jack Timms finished third and Tony Harkness finished fourth.
In the Senior class , maximum man Connor Walkley was made to work really hard for his first position by visitor Warren Field, with the extra power of the four-stroke giving him two deserved wins and runner-up spot for the weekend.
An improving Harry McKenna, who holeshot nearly every race and led most of the final moto, despite being passed by Connor in the latter stages, took the final podium position.
The AMX class was once again the most competitive group, with Matt Gardiner's maximum being spoilt by Marc Gunter in race two with a gate to flag win.
Despite leading and crashing in the next three races, he still managed to finish second overall and was certainly the rider to watch as he charged through the field.
Richard Williams maintained his third position again with consistent results while Dominic Foreman finished fourth.
The Junior 65cc class gets of to a flying start.
The Open class racing provided a very good line up and a last race decider which went down to the wire between visitor Jordan Carter and Alan Pearce with Jordan taking it on the last lap. Rob Lewis took third place.
Day one saw Terry House in attendance, making for some excellent competition.
He was unlucky in race one when his bike stopped whilst leading on the last lap and he crashed in race two but still charged through to finish second.
Gavin Flagg, Paul Hussey and Anthony James all entered the mix to make the group very interesting.
The final round will be hosted by Severn Valley at Brookethorpe on October 4/5.
