Antonio Cairoli had a bad start in Race 1 (MX2) as he crashed in turn 1. Full of fury he went back from behind the pack to claim position after position in an astonishing way. But it was Tommy Searl (KTM/Red Bull, UK) who claimed victory, just in front of Cairoli who managed to get back to 2nd position.
In Race 2 the Sicilian didn't want to have a re-run of Race 1 and stayed on thebike, domination the race and taking the win. Current champion ChristophePourcel didn't show good confidence at the Udevalla track and went home withsome disappointment.
In the MX1 is was a surprisingly dominating Ken deDycker who took Race 1 and came in 2nd in Race 2. He showed enormous confidence, and even through in a nic-nac just before the finishing line in Race 1. In Race2 Steve Ramon led the hunt for Ken De Dycker leaving KTM rider Philippaerts andKawasaki rider Billy MacKenzie behind to battle it out for 3rd position.MacKenzie and team mate Tanel Leok showed good performance throughout theweekend, with Tanel claiming the #3 spot on the podium and Billy finishing theweekend on 6th position.
Current World Championship leader Joshua Coppins, finishing 5th, had a lesser weekend but still holds an 89 points lead overSuzuki rider Steve Ramon. Ramon, currently being the best consistent rider ofthe World Championship, will be looking to narrow down that gab even furthernext race.
