James Dabill recorded the most important victory of his young sportingcareer, when he won the World famous and highly prestigious Scottish Six DayTrial (SSDT) yesterday afternoon. Reinforcing his recent World championshipform, Dabill dominated all six days of this demanding event by leading fromstart to finish, and winning by a comfortable fourteen marks come theend.

Having collected the yellow leader board after a difficult openingday, James then kept his Sandiford supported, Future TRW Montesa Cota 4RT out infront to become the first four stroke mounted rider in thirty one long years towin this classic trial. Alan Lampkin on board a 250 BSA was the last previousfour stroke victor back in 1966.

Despite Dabill's recent results at Worldlevel, five times previous SSDT winner Graham Jarvis arrived in Fort William asthe favourite to lift the trophy once again. With Jarvis mounted on a Shercofour stroke, the 2007 SSDT was billed as the battle of the four bangers', butwhen James emerged a full ten marks clear of his main rival after a tough andwet first day, the war was almost won already.

However the remainder ofthe event was anything but easy for the twenty one year old from Leeds, as hesoaked up the immense pressure associated with this endurance trial to recordthe best performance on no less than four days of the competition. The riderscover over five hundred and thirty miles throughout the week as they make theirway between the one hundred and eighty scheduled sections. This confirms bothDabill's pure resilience and the sheer reliability of the Montesa Cota4RT.

Absolutely overjoyed Dabill stated. This is without doubt thebiggest win of my life and one that I have dreamed about ever since I was ayouth rider. What makes the victory even more special is that I managed to leadit from the start. The final day was always going to be tough with it being myearly day, but despite that I can honestly say I have really enjoyed everymoment of the trial, and never really felt the pressure atanytime.

This trial is a real team effort, so I want to say a massivethank you to the Future TRW team, everyone at Sandifords, Jack Lee, AndyHuddleston, my mum and dad, plus my girlfriend Emma all of who have supported mebrilliantly, and without whom this victory would not have been possible.
