SEMX Final Round Report and Pictures - Canada Heights

Raife Broadley, on his two-stroke Fantic, took Canada Heights by storm at the final SEMX round of the year, staged by the hard-working and ever-resourceful Sidcup Club. Broadley was on fire, winning all three of his A-group races in great style and not letting anyone have a sniff of a win.
The weather was amazing, and the track was in prime condition as around 150 riders turned up to race this iconic track in the warm Kent sunshine. The racing format was the same as usual, with all riders going into Allcomers qualifying heats, with the fastest going into group A, the next into group B and so on.
In the first A race, Broadley got the holeshot and just checked out for his first race win by almost 16 seconds. George Clark (Yamaha) had to fight his way up to second place by passing Kieran Clarke (Kawasaki) on lap two.
Liam Bennett (Husqvarna) relegated Clarke down another place on lap five as the pair finished third and fourth with Ryan Nock (Yamaha) spending most of the race in fifth.
Nock’s day didn’t get any better as, at the start of the second A race, he crashed hard, and the race had to be red flagged. Thankfully, with some help, he managed to get up and walk away and even took part in the third and final race of the day.
At the re-start, Broadley did the same as he did in the first race by getting the holeshot and disappearing up the track. George Clarke spent all the race trying to close him down but, in the end, had to settle for another second place. Kieran Clarke had once again got a great start and held onto third place for three laps till Bennett managed to find a way past him to snatch third place, with Justin Robinson (KTM) fifth.
Nock’s crash must have done him some good as in the third and final A group race of the day, he got the holeshot from George Clarke and Broadley and held on to it for three laps, by which time Broadley was already into second place.
Once in the lead, Broadley cruised to a comfortable 25-second win and the overall.
George Clarke followed him over the finish line for the third time for second overall, with Bennett again third in the race and third overall. As for Nock, he had a consolation fourth place, but his earlier crash dropped him down to 10th overall.
It was very tight at the top of the B group, with a single point separating the winner Samuel Pocock (Honda) and second placed Leo Vowles as both had a low-scoring race. In race one, Pocock, came from 22nd to finish the race in seventh place. He then backed that up with a win and a third place, while Vowles finished second in race one but crashed down to 25th in race two before recovering to 10th. He won the last race. Javan Williams (KTM) was third overall, just five points off the overall win.
With two wins and a third, Jason Stocks (KTM) won the C group from Tim Weighill and Oliver Hughes.
