Take a look: David Davey’s 1977 KTM

David Davey has sent us this very cool looking 1977 KTM MC400 motocross bike and tells us, in his own words, how he has gone about the restoration work...
"I purchased the bike from e-Bay in a very sad state, so had to have the motor rebuilt, and I refurbished the chassis to be identical to the picture I have in my 1977/78 World Motorcycle Catalogue.
"I'm probably a colossal geek to bother, but it seemed like a good idea. After losing track of how much I spent and how long it has taken I'm not so sure now!
"A big thanks goes to Andre Horvath, who is invaluable for those hard-to-find motor and chassis parts, Central Wheels (rims & spokes ), Dermot O'Connor for the top-notch paintwork and my mate Rocket Ron (Geartech Racing).
