This week the Maxxis British Sidecar-cross Championship moved to the Asham Woods track at Frome, Somerset, alongside the British MX323 Championships.
Weather conditions were good with a slight breeze to blow away the dust, leaving good track conditions.
Defending champions Stuart Brown and Luke Peters were again on top form with three great wins to take the overall. Brothers Dan and Joe Millard, who live just a couple of miles from the venue, had three great finishes, which was enough for second overall on the day.
The day didn't get off to a great start with a bad crash during timed practice. Colin Philpot and Stuart Dance hit a post at the end of the straight and it catapulted them and the outfit, with the bike landing on Colin. The air ambulance was summoned as Colin had a badly broken leg and a broken collar-bone.
