All can now be revealed. Fast Eddy's Extreme Enduro will be held at Tong, near Leeds, on January 23, and has British Championship status, running under the ACU banner.

Fast Eddy and World E3 Enduro Champion, David Knight, inspected the Tong venue last week to discuss which sections will be included and just how tough to make the course.

‘Knighter' was bowled over by the place, the numerous rock and wooded sections will provide a real extreme challenge using all natural terrain, something Knighter is really looking forward to riding, along with Dougie Lampkin, Graham Jarvis and Tom Sagar to name but a few.

The Tong venue will provide a ten-minute lap, containing six extreme sections including gullies, waterfalls, steep climbs and drops separated by numerous cross-country wooded sections.

Not only will the adults get a chance to take on this tough terrain, but youth riders will also have a shot at glory in a race specifically for 13 to 16-year-olds.

Veteran, Clubman, Expert and Pro riders will entertain the crowds at several spots around the course at specific spectators zones but there will be a ‘no-help' zone on the final rocky section.

There will be easy and hard routes but any rider who is serious about winning the race will have to ‘Go Hard!'

Fast Eddy: "I have thought about running an extreme event for a few years and now the time is right. Tong is a fantastic place for an extreme bash. There is so much we can do using purely natural terrain that I am sure it will be sold out fast.

"Knighter's input has been invaluable, but I am planning to get a few other riders up to the venue to take a look and hopefully give plenty of input.

As the course evolves we will be releasing a few video clips to give riders and spectators at taste of what is to come.”
Knighter: "Brilliant, I can't wait to get to the start line. This will be an extreme event in every sense of the word and very spectator friendly and let's face it, half the fun of this type of event is watching top riders tackle serious sections and cheering on your mates who find the challenge really hard.

"This will be a great start to the season and I will be going for it.”

Entries and regs will be available to download from the website – fasteddyracing.com – on Wednesday, December 1, but get in quick because the entry will be limited to just 100 riders!
