TMX The Annual 2014

Once again it has been an exhilarating year in the dirt, that has seen the jam-packed calendar of events go from strength to strength.

After a tough year battling against the recession in 2013, times were tight for many off-road enthusiasts and factory teams.

But the pure passion shared by riders and readers alike shone through and 2014 has seen many organising bodies have a real push with entries and spectators, in an economic-climate defying boom.

Each and every week, of course, TMX – your sport's dedicated off-road weekly paper – attempts to keep-up with and in turn keep you up-to-date with, the many reports and results from international events right down to the humblest beginners trial.

But as the weeks rush by, and one issue merges into the next, it can be difficult to get everything we want into our jam-packed paper.

So, each year we squeeze extra hours into our busy schedule to bring you this glossy offering. It is our chance to wrap-up the year and pick out some of our highlights.

Obviously we can't cover everything in one hit – despite it being a whopping 140 pages!

But we have done our best to come up with something for, hopefully, everyone to enjoy.

We have had the pleasure of talking to the super speedy Scotsman, Shaun Simpson with a Q&A about his year as a privateer in MXGP and his plans for 2014. And to balance that we jumped at the opportunity to take time-out with the young-gun who's kicking up the dust on the World Enduro scene, Danny McCanney.

John Dickinson, who has somehow managed to escape TMX Towers for pastures new, has taken a look back at one of the longest-standing trials in the world, the iconic Scott Trial and has produced a cracking wrap-up as the event hits its 100th year.

Steve Cox, our correspondent over the pond, has been lucky enough to head to Pomona in California and attend the Red Bull Straight Rhythm – a half-mile unwound supercross straight with more whoops and jumps than you can shake a stick at.

And, if you're like me, you will be ‘well-jel' he got to watch #199 Travis Pastrana race his first competitive dirt-bike event in five years!

Plus, on top of all these juicy features we've included year-end wraps of all the major series you can think of. From British to world, sidecar to supermoto...it's all in here.

And once again, last but never least, is our UNIQUE list of Championship tables that you simply won't find anywhere else under a single umbrella! They are the work of Mannix Devlin, a man who keeps such comprehensive results tables that the series promoters often consult him when they lose track of their own records!

You can either amuse yourselves studying them in a ‘Who Won What?' session or they are great for consulting when you read the various series wraps.

Anyway, that's enough waffle from me. Here it is – TMX The Annual 2014 – read it online now!
