Walker wins in Argentina

Jonny Walker has moved to the top of the SuperEnduro World Championship standings following an overall win at round three of the series in Argentina.
Returning to SuperEnduro action following recent Extreme Enduro outings, Walker produced a near perfect night's racing to claim two race wins and a second place result. Putting into practice what he learned during the opening two rounds of the championship, Jonny kept mistakes to a minimum while avoiding trouble out on track.
Wining the night's first two finals, Walker opted not to take any unnecessary risks during the third and closing final, settling for second position and with it a deserved overall win. Jonny now sits 11 points ahead of his nearest rival at the mid-way point of the 2015/16 SuperEnduro World Championship.
Walker will be back in action on February 27 at round four of the SuperEnduro World Championship in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Jonny Walker: "I managed to get my first overall victory in Argentina, along with the lead in the championship, so I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy. The truth is I learned a lot from the first two rounds of the series and decided to ride smart in Argentina. The key again was to stay away from mistakes and that's what I managed to do.
It was good to finally get some points in SuperPole, which is an improvement over the first two rounds. I think I could have wrapped up the night with three wins but things didn't go as planned in the last race. I didn't get the best of starts and that made things difficult. But still, two wins and a second at this track is amazing.
The biggest thing for me in SuperEnduro is confidence and after Argentina I already feel like I've got a boost. I'm now going to Brazil with an 11-point lead over Cody (Webb). It's not much as it'll only take one bad race to lose everything. But it's a good psychological booster and I'm looking forward to the remaining three rounds of the championship.”
