World Championship under 23 rule will remain

There has been rumours recently of the Under 23 age limit regulation in the World Championship MX2 class being scrapped. However Youthstream President Giuseppe Luongo released a statement this morning via the MXGP online digital media that this rule will stay.
''The large majority of teams and manufacturers are supportive of this rule," said Luongo. "However there are a very few who, for their own business, try to change these rules by spreading rumors that these rules will be changed next year; this is completely false.
"Youthstream's position is very firm; these rules were created for two main reasons, the first is to give access to all talented riders from the European Championship to a good MX2 team, and the second is to reinforce the MXGP class making it really the major class with all the big stars racing together."
