The FIM's International Disciplinary Court convened at FIM HQ in Mies, Switzerland, recently for a public hearing regarding the actions of Stefan Everts and Mickael Pichon at the South African Sun City GP. THE MX1 riders refused to go to the line for race one which delayed the start by 10 minutes. Everts also threw a little hissy-fit in moto two which saw the Belgian eight-time world champion viciously chuck his goggles at Mickael Pichon after the pair clashed on the opening lap. The board decided that both riders should be fined 10,000 Swiss francs for delaying the start of moto one while Everts would also receive a suspension of one year - that's conditionally deferred for two years - and a further fine of 15,000 Swiss francs for his goggle throwing outburst. Court costs are to be split between the two riders with Stefan stumping up 75 per cent to Pichon's 25 per cent.
