Alex Martin signs 2021 deal with Manluk/Rock River Yamaha/Merge Racing
By Andrew Hill on 18th Nov 20
Alex Martin has agreed terms for the 2021 AMA Monster Energy Supercross season and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross with Manluk/Rock River Yamaha/Merge Racing as three teams come together to form one.
The 26-year-old Minnesota native was one of the casualties following the closure of the JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team in the off-season. And Martin is grateful for the team stepping in at the last minute to back him for next year.
"Im very excited to be back with this team for next year," said A-Mart. "Im grateful that this great group of people were able to step up in the eleventh hour and put this together. I had some of the best years of my career with Yamaha. Im looking forward to what the new team can do in 2021."
Martin was also appreciative of his two years with Joe Gibbs Racing and acknowledged the loss to the industry. "I feel very fortunate that I had the opportunity to be a part of the JGRMX organisation the last two years," said Martin. "I learned a ton, met great people, and had a blast doing it! Thank you for everything youve done for this sport."
