Cooper Webb on his tough night at Arlington's Triple Crown [updated]

It was a tough night for Cooper Webb and the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team as the reigning 450SX Champion suffered a crash during the second Main Event that left him sidelined for the rest of Saturdays Triple Crown in Arlington, Texas.
Webb had a great start to the day, where he qualified fourth overall in the 450SX division.
In the first Main Event, he powered into second early on and he maintained a solid pace to finish with runner-up in race one.
In the second race, he didnt get off to the best start but he worked his way into fourth by lap 11. While making a podium charge late in the race, Webb experienced a big crash in the dragons back section, which left him unable to continue racing.
After receiving trackside assistance from the Alpinestars Medical Crew, Webb was transported to a local hospital to await further evaluation.
Coopers day started off well, he was good in both qualifying practices and in the first race he rode exceptionally well, we were happy with him and we didnt make any bike changes, said Team Manager, Ian Harrison.
In the second race, he was riding well and moving through the pack, and then it looks like he lost drive going up the dragons back, landed on the front wheel and it flipped him off and he landed in the cement. As of now, it seems like there are no broken bones but we are heading to the hospital now to check in with Cooper.
Later Webb posted a positive update on social media: Some times you ride the bull sometimes you get the horns. Just left medical examinations and I got very lucky with hematoma with deep bone bruising to my pelvis as well as my sacrum. Extremely lucky and blessed to only walk away with that. Thanks everyone for the support and prayers. Not quite done yet.
Update: Red Bull KTM has posted an injury update on their social media account that revealed Webb will be at the next round of the Supercross series. Cooper Webb to race Supercross round nine, this weekend in Atlanta, the post read. Despite the fall that saw him forced to withdraw from proceedings in Arlington, the reigning 450SX class champion plans to line up behind the gate in Georgia on February 29.
