Revo Seven Kawasakis Dylan Walsh has received a wildcard entry to sport his #53 plate at round one of the new FIM World Supercross Championship at Cardiffs Principality Stadium.
No stranger to the Supercross arena, Walsh competed in the 2022 AMA West Coast Supercross series for Revo Seven Kawasaki. In his debut season he impressed, finishing 19th in the series despite competing in only five of the nine rounds due to an injury sustained prior to the sixth round.
In his last three Main Events he placed 11th twice and then 12th at Glendale. The team are already preparing for the 2023 series where Walsh will ride alongside a new American team-mate.
A top-10 250SX rider, soon to be announced, will join Dylan on the KX250 for the team named Revo Grindstone Kawasaki, competing in all nine rounds starting on January 8, at Anaheim.
Team Manager Mark Yates said: "Both Dylan and the team are pleased to have received the WSX invitation, and with the event just a week before the team leave for the USA to start training for 2023, the timing is perfect.
"Its going to be interesting to see how the World Supercross series stacks up and compares with AMA Supercross and its great to see an indoor event of this magnitude again in the UK."
Walsh said: "I am really excited to get a wildcard entry for round one of the WSX in Cardiff. Its pretty much a home race for myself and the team so Im looking forward to getting out there on my Revo KX250, experiencing this new championship and getting a good starting point before heading into the new 2023 Supercross Season."
