The final 250SMX Class outing of the season brought the East and West champions together for a blockbuster showdown, and it was Cole Davies who stole the spotlight with a commanding victory in Salt Lake City.
The Main Event featured a highly anticipated clash between Davies and Haiden Deegan, but it was Deegan who made the early statement by securing the holeshot. However, the lead soon changed hands as Max Anstie briefly moved to the front before Deegan regained control.
Davies, running third in the early stages, quickly established himself as a contender and moved into second, setting up a head-to-head fight with his teammate. The New Zealander showcased impressive pace, particularly through the whoops, and began applying sustained pressure.
The decisive moment came just after halfway. Davies made an aggressive move on Deegan, with slight contact, to take over the lead. Deegan responded immediately but suffered a crash while attempting to retaliate, ending his chances of victory.
A second fall dropped Deegan further down the order, allowing Levi Kitchen to move into third after passing Anstie for second. Out front, Davies remained composed and unchallenged, controlling the race to claim his sixth win of the season.
Kitchen finished strongly to secure second, while Anstie completed the podium. Deegan salvaged fourth in what marked the final race of his 250SMX career.
