ACU Trial GB heads to Hookwood
By Press Release on 29th May 24
The second round of the ACU Trial GB series visits the Hookwood Trials Centre near Guildford, Surrey this weekend. 54 of the UK’s top adult trials riders - and one Australian - are set to tackle the heavily sculpted venue in Sunday's action, while on Saturday the club is also hosting a round of the ACU Youth Nationals which is sure to showcase some of the stars of the future in our sport.
Current Trial GB series leader, TMX cover star and reigning Trial 2 World Champion Billy Green will be looking to continue his form and repeat his convincing winning ride from the season opener. Hot on his heels will be current Trial GB Champion Jack Peace and the young talent of local ace Jack Dance aboard his Factory Gas Gas. With the Beta supported Hemingway brothers and the ever-improving Harry Turner also in the mix, spectators are sure to be treated to some incredible riding this weekend as these stars come to town fresh from their World Championship duties in Japan a few weeks ago.
A full Start List for the event can be found on the ACU Trial GB website, and includes Trial GB 2 Series leader Duncan MacColl along with the in form nine-time Ladies World Trial Champion Emma Bristow who will be looking to repeat her win in the Trial GB Expert category from round one in Cumbria earlier in the year.
The Youth National gets underway at 10am on Saturday, June 1 and is free to spectate, while Sundays Trial GB action has a £10 entry fee for spectators and opens with the 9am warm up session with the first rider on course at 9.30am.
The Hookwoods Trials Centre is located in West Horsley, near Guildford, KT24 6ET and has on site toilet facilities and catering. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads.
