Lakes Two Day Trial entries open
By John Dickinson on 11th Aug 19
Confirmation that autumn is approaching is the news that Regs and Entry forms are now available for the 2019 Lakes Two Day Trial which will be staged on the weekend of October 5/6 this year.
The Lakes Motorcycle Trial Association will once again base the trial at Broughton in Furness, south west Cumbria, and will follow the usual format of two separate courses, one each day, so competitors get the maximum variety of terrain that the area offers.
The road-based (machines and riders must be road legal) mileage will be in the region of 20 to 25 each day with 40 sections per day to be ridden under no-stop rules.
There will be dual sections for Experts and Clubman and while the maximum overall entry will be 180, 70 places are reserved for the Expert course.
The Lakes is a popular trial and while entries are not set to close until September 20 they WILL close when full, so if you want to ride you need to enter early.
Early entries will be placed in the middle of the rider list with later entries getting early or late numbers.
Number one will start first on Saturday and starting order will be reversed on Sunday.
Many top names have taken the Premier including in recent years multi British champ James Dabill, Welsh ace Iwan Roberts and last year East Anglian Jack Sheppard took the honour.
Jack recently won the Reeth Three Day so is on good form.
