By John Dickinson on 5th Feb 20
The Castle Colchester club get the British National scene underway this Sunday, February 9, with their Phil King East Anglian National Trial.
And the event represents the opening round of the ACU Normandale Masters Championship.
The series is for rider age-related classes with Over 40, Over 50 and Over 60 plus Air-cooled Mono, Twinshock and Britshock and Class 7 which is an Open class.
And the Normandale gets away to a great start with just under 100 riders signed up and good entries in the age-related classes with Class B for Over 50s seeing the highest number with 38 contenders.
The venue will be New Wood, Pebmarsh, near Halstead, Essex and the event will be road-based with the course being a single lap of around 20 miles taking in a total of 36 sections.
Start time for the first man away is 9.30am and riders will have five and a half hours to complete the course.
Over 40s features riders like Richard Allen, Jason Galvin and Ashley Hall but its the start of a new season so all classes are up for grabs.
Heres hoping the weather plays ball and good luck to all competitors as we get the 2020 National season underway.
