S3 Parts ready for Wainwright test

Theres top class traditional trials action this Sunday (June 23) with the Wetherby clubs Yorkshire classic Wainwright Shield trial which is ready to play host to 120 riders.
The Wainwright represents the penultimate round of the 2019 S3 Parts National Trials Championship and will take place, as usual, at remote Raydale farm, Marsett (DL8 3BW) and will be signed off the A684 in Bainbridge.
Order of the day will be two laps of a cracking 12-mile, 24-section course taking in a variety of Yorkshire becks, gullies and rocky outcrops. All the usual suspects chasing S3 Parts Championship honours in the various classes will be in the mix.
In the Experts, Dan Thorpe holds the lead on 106 points, 10 ahead of Guy Kendrew and 13 in front of the Isle of Wights Chris Stay, who continues to challenge on the mainland.
In the Clubman class, Richmond member Richard Fraser is way out front on 96 but it is very close for the minor placings between Simon Hiscock 59, Richards brother Tom on 56 and yet another Richmond stalwart and first lady, Katy Sunter on 54.
The Over 40s has north Wales regular Phil Houghton with a healthy lead on 99 from Hillsborough club member Darren Wasley while there is a head to head battle for third between Tony Buckley and Kiaran Hankin.
There will be fierce competition in all the Championship classes plus Tom Minta and local ace Richard Sadler, who will be looking to lift the Wainwright Shield.
First man away will be at 9.30am with competitors leaving the Raydale start at one minute intervals.

The 2019 Keedwell ACU TrialGB Series reaches the halfway stage on Sunday with the West of England Motor Club’s Anthony Rew Trial in Devon which will count as the fifth round of the nine event series.
