Sherco UK in collaboration with Off Road Moto has announced their support for Euan Sim in 2024. Euan has signed to ride the 125 ST-Factory Sherco after a very impressive days testing with the new 125 model earlier this year.
Having recently turned 15 years old, Euan is a huge talent, with six Scottish Youth Championships and two Youth British Trials Championship titles to his name already. Sherco is proud of this latest signing as Euan is fantastic addition to the Sherco brand both in the UK and Internationally. This move to Sherco means Euan is applying for his first passport as 2024 will see him make his World Trials Championship debut in the Trial-3 class. The pinnacle of the sport for the 125 category.
With a busy 2024 schedule ahead, Euan will be competing in the Premier Scottish Trials Championship class against Scotland’s best adult riders. He will also contest the British Youth Trials Championship, selected British Adult Trials Championship rounds and finally making his World Trials Championship debut in Andorra at the start of the Trial3 World Championship season in June.
A full plan has been specifically crafted with the support of Sherco Authorised Dealer Off Road Moto to provide Euan and his team with the tools they need for a successful 2024 campaign. Add to that the guidance and support of nine-time Women’s World Champion, Emma Bristow and the Sherco UK team, Euan is feeling excited about the year ahead.
“I’m buzzing for the season to get started now," said Euan. "I couldn’t believe how good the 125 Sherco was when I tried it, so light and easy to move with a strong power delivery at low and high revs – perfect for my style. I want to thank Off Road Moto for arranging the bike test and their support this year especially at British Youth rounds.
I’d also like to thank Beta and Highland Leisure Sport for their help in getting me to this point, I will never forget this. But the chance to go to the World Championship with Sherco UK and the support of Emma & James is unbelievable, we’ve had a couple of practice sessions together and it’s been so fun, I’ve done things I didn’t think were even possible, so thanks to them and I can’t wait to get started now!”
”This is a project we are very happy to be associated with," enthuses Off Road Moto head honcho John Charlton. "We’ve started selling the new 2024 Sherco’s and having Euan and his team representing us is amazing. I can't think of anyone more deserving of support, plus my own children love watching him ride and he always makes time for the youngsters so we wish Euan all the best and look forward to seeing him in action soon.”
"Supporting the next generation of young riders is part of my role now and one that I am very passionate about," adds Emma Bristow MBE. "I am looking forward to helping Euan, he is a talented rider, very focussed and is highly driven to work hard. I am proud he's decided to join our team and I can't wait to pass on some of my experience especially when it comes to the world championships. It's going to work out well as his debut at TrialGP is in Andorra and the women won't be riding there so I can focus on supporting our young riders Euan Sim and Harry Turner. I'm excited for them and I know they will work well together in our team."
"I'm so pleased to have Euan onboard our 125 model, what he can do on this bike is amazing," asserts Sherco UK's James Fry. "He reminds me of Emma when he's training, he's determined and relentless until he achieves what he's working on and I really like that. I look forward to being part of his international journey and can't wait to see what he can achieve."
Euan will make his first competitive appearance with Sherco at Round 1 of the SACU Scottish Trials Championship on April 7.
