The first National trial of the year is coming up
By John Dickinson on 15th Jan 20
The first National trial of the year is coming up on Sunday, March 9, which is the Castle Colchester club's Philip King East Anglian trial that also represents the opening round of the 2020 ACU Normandale Masters Championship.
This 11-round, rider-age based series is expected to once again prove popular with its main classes being for Over 40s, 50s and 60s.
Some contenders, of course, used to ride Nationals back in the day, for others it is a whole new chapter in their trials lives.
The Normandale will encompass not just one but two back to back trials in the West Country, starting with the second and third rounds in Cornwall on the weekend of March 28/29 with the Dennis Richards Trophy and the Kernow Cup and then later in the season on October 3/4 the long-established West of England and Otter Vale Presidents.
But, before we get ahead of ourselves its time to get back to the opening round and get those entries in.
The trial will start at Pebmarsh, near Halstead, Essex, C09 2NR.
Start time will be 9.30am and you can enter now using the ACU online system. In fact, you need to get on the case as online entries will close on January 30, which really isn't far off.
All details are on the ACU website or you can call Richard Norman on 0742-1704255 with any questions on the Philip King opener.
