Trials Torque: Bonanza’s here again

NORTH Berks MCC is hosting its famous Berks Bonanza Super Trial this very weekend, August 20th/ 21 at the equally famous Seymours Arena, Aston Tirrold, near Didcot Oxfordshire.
The weekend kicks off on Saturday with the Ladies event when reigning World & British No.1 Emma Bristow and World & British No.2 Becky Cook fighting for the podium (and the prize money) with up and coming Jess Bown, Victoria Payne, Louise Alford and a returning Nikita Smith all trying to get their place on the podium too.
Local girl Alicia Robinson will be hoping to carry on where she finished last weekend in the final round of the European Championship, staged in Germany, where she finished second and is now hoping to make it to the top step of the podium.
Alicia will have Gabby Whitham, Alice Minta, Catherine Alford all battling with her plus more top B Class riders.
All the girls are really competitive and fully deserve your support.
Sunday sees the men in action and kicks off at 10.30am and the event also incorporates the second round of the British Super Trial Championship.
This, amazingly, will be the tenth year of North Berks running this prestigious event and amongst the top riders in Britain competing are Junior World Cup Champ Jack Price, 125 World Champion, Junior and Youth European Champion Jack Peace.
Joining Jack will be his bother and European vice Champion Dan Peace along with third placed Iwan Roberts who is also Welsh Trials Champion.
Then there's local lad and runner-up at the event last year Alexz Wigg, plus Ross Danby, Toby Martyn, Dec Bullock, Jack Shepherd plus a host of other top British riders hoping to challenge for a place in the Final.
As well as exciting Qualifying plus a tense final there is a superb day's action promised.
Seymour's Arena is perfect for spectating with all sections easily accessible.
Stu Robinson has come up with a selection of great hazards plus there will be trade stands, refreshments and free camping available from Friday afternoon. There's also toilets and ample parking.
Get yourself along to cheer on your favourite rider to help make this 10th year another soaraway success.
