Trials

AFTER working through a long, wet winter, section designer Graham Jarvis and the Parkwood team have transformed the Parkwood 4x4 centre at Tong, Bradford, into a venue ready to receive the worlds best trials riders.

The centre hosts the British round of the 2016 FIM Trial World Championship – The Wulfsport Oset Yorkshire World Trial GP on July 15-17.

Having constructed 12 challenging, brand new sections using the natural  terrain, enhanced with extra rocks, a lot of planning has gone into the sections, not just to challenge the riders but to make sure viewing is good for spectators.

And the final touches were completed last week  when former World round winner Graham and his team grass seeded the sections and viewing areas.

Interest in the trial was already high and then  James Dabil had a fantastic podium at the opening Spanish GP and the question is, can he repeat this  feat on home soil?

As the British GP team say, the only way to find out is to go and see!

Tickets are on sale at discounted prices  now at www.worldtrialuk.co.uk  and camping is available.

Don't forget, the weekend is going to be action-packed as not only are the world's best men battling it out but for the first time, the UK  is hosting a Women's World Championship trial.

It gives current world champion Emma Bristow the chance to perform in front of her home fans.

Trade support has been excellent with many new traders on board to enhance the trade village.

For the second year, Wulfsport and Oset have the joint title to the event, while the oil partners are Putoline.

There will be lots going on in and around the trade village and Oset are running two Youth trials for Friday and Saturday evenings

So the word is, don't miss out on the homecoming return to Yorkshire, the spiritual home of UK trials on the weekend July 16/17.
