Trials Torque: White Rose is in full bloom
By John Dickinson on 23rd Aug 17
THINGS are looking rosy for the West Leeds clubs TrialsUK sponsored National White Rose Trial which is coming up on Sunday, September 10
At the time of writing there were already over 100 entries.
And the club is hoping to hit the 130 mark before the closing date which is Monday, September 4.
The White Rose is a classic one-lap, road-based National trial with 40 sections set around a course based near the market town of Hawes, deep in the Yorkshire dales. The sections are a mixture of steep, climbing becks and rocky outcrops.
Starting from Cam Head, way out on the moors between Hawes and Kettlewell, the route travels clockwise round the dales and finishes with a spur down the Kettlewell road to Oughtershaw and a relatively new series of sections introduced last year.
There will be two routes in each section, National and Clubman, and a mix of both in the popular 50/50 option.
The experienced trio of Nigel Crowther, aided and abetted by Howard Gulley and Mark Chippendale, are in charge of the course and sections and all entered are guaranteed a great day out.
Already entered on the National course are Dan Thorpe, Richard Sadler and James Stones with a host of potential winners on the 50/50 and Clubman courses.
Trials like this are few and far between so if you want a ride get on the West Leeds MC website which has Regs and an entry form all ready for you.
