Triumph announce TXP Cup for electric youth trials riders
By Team TMX on 9th Mar 26
Triumph Motorcycles is throwing its support behind youth trials with a special TXP Cup event for young riders on OSET and Triumph TXP machines this spring.
The event will take place on April 18, 2026, at Earl Shilton near Hinckley in Leicestershire and is open to electric trials riders aged four and upwards.
Designed to encourage participation and progression, the day will give youngsters the chance to ride in a professionally organised trials event on any OSET model or Triumph TXP machine. Whether riders are trying competition for the first time or already developing their skills, the TXP Cup aims to provide a welcoming and supportive environment.
Speaking ahead of the event, OSET and Triumph TXP events and promotions manager Simon Armstrong said youth trials remains one of the best entry points into motorcycling
“Trials riding teaches skill, balance, control and technique at slow speed – foundations that help with every other form of two-wheeled riding,” he explained. “And because our bikes are electric, kids can practise what they learn at events in their own back gardens.”
After the competition, riders and their families will be invited to take part in a special Factory Visitor Experience at Triumph’s headquarters in Hinckley.
The visit offers a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s engineering heritage and includes access to the Triumph museum.
OSET founder Ian Smith says the visit will be a highlight for families attending.
“The museum features bikes from throughout Triumph’s history – from the very first Triumph machine to Steve McQueen’s ‘Great Escape’ bike and Daniel Craig’s ‘No Time To Die’ Scrambler,” he said.
The day is being organised with families firmly in mind, with refreshments available for riders and parents throughout the event.
Triumph says the TXP Cup reflects its ongoing commitment to grassroots riding and developing the next generation of motorcyclists.
Places for the event are limited and early registration is recommended through the Sport80 system. Young riders without an ACU permit can arrange a day licence in advance.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy 10% off purchases in the Triumph shop, while the factory site is just eight miles from the trial venue.
