FIM postpone TrialGP Czech Republic, Japan and Andorra
By Andrew Hill on 20th Mar 20
The FIM has announced the postponement of the first three rounds of the 2020 FIM Trial World Championship.
The coronavirus pandemic has already forced the cancellation or rescheduling of a number of trial events and now the FIM has moved early to postpone three rounds of the series, including the Andorra round which was still three months away.
It's a concern that this could be the start of many events being called off for the early summer months.
The TrialGP Czech Republic - Sokolov (CZE / 23-24 May), TrialGP Japan - Motegi (JPN/06-07 June) and the TrialGP Andorra - Sant Juli (AND/20-21 June) are the three rounds postponed. At this time, that leaves Italy on 4-5 July as the opening round, followed by Tong on 10-12 July.
The FIM says all parties are currently evaluating if it will be possible to reschedule the events later this season.
