TrialGP France preview: A challenge at altitude awaits all riders

Folllowing hot on the heels of TrialGP Portugal comes TrialGP France, to be run this weekend in Auron, nestling in the Alps directly north of Nice.

In action will be TrialGP, Trial2, Trial125, TrialGP Women, and Trial2 Women.

Just over 80 riders will contest the five classes which will see at least one Champion crowned and that will be Trial125 which sees its final round of the series.

And Toni Bou could easily tie-up his 13th consecutive TWC crown!

The Repsol Honda star heads the 14 starters in TrialGP which of course includes Brits James Dabill (Beta), Jack Price (Gas Gas) and Dan Peace (Sherco).

Emma Bristow is going good for the title again this year

Trial2 has the largest entry by a long way with 28 hopefuls. Toby Martyn (Beta) and Jack Price (Sherco) go in search of victory, Billy Green (Montesa) could new a podium and Hugo Jervis (TRRS) joins the trio of regulars.

Home Nation hopes will be on Alex Ferrer (Sherco) who was runner-up in Portugal. Series leader Italian Matteo Grattarola (Montesa) will be looking to fend off challenger

Spanish prospect Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa) with Toby hoping to gain on both as he is currently 20 marks astern in third.

French youngster Kieran Touly (Scorpa) looks nailed-on to lift the Trial125 Championship and basically just has to finish in the point to ensure his title.

Jake Eley (Beta), Brett Harbud (Beta) and Scot Ben Dignan (Gas Gas) go into battle for Britain.

 

Beta's Toby Martyn will be hoping for a better result in France

Ten talented females go for it in TrialGP Women and Britains Emma Bristow looks to keep her 2019 100 per cent record intact as she hopes to stay ahead of Spanish challengers Berta Abellan (Vertigo) and Sandra Gomez (TRRS).

Britain is well represented in Trial2 Women with five starters amongst the 19 strong entry. Alice Minta (Scorpa) will be looking to go one better than the excellent second place she took in

Portugals opening encounter which was just shaded by German Vivian Wachs (TRRS). Alicia Robinson (Beta) is always strong as Gabby Whitham (Beta) is also capable of a high placed finish,

They are joined in France by Victoria Payne (Sherco) and Jen Stephen (TRRS).
