Iwan Roberts won the Yorkshire Centre Championship Cobb and Jagger Trophy trial at muddy Keighley Gate from Dan Thorpe and Chris Pearson.
Thorpe was back in action after laser eye treatment after a three week absence. The JST Gas Gas ace appeared totally on top form.
A total of one 115 contested the main course while a further 22 small wheelers assembled at the bridge to ride a compact six section course with the stream and surrounding banks included which after four laps became slippery.
In the Inter class Oliver Sharp just eased to the Inter class victory over Sam Johnson.
Ollie was dressed Saville Row standards in his pristine riding clothing. Tom Middleton won the battle of the Novices.
The Hard course entry list consisted of 20 front line performers plus five hot youths. Class winner Joe Faunthorpe was positively glowing and attacked all 14 sections with speed and aggression.
That seemed to work for the Bradford boy because Sunday's championship course was just one great expanse of mud and rocks with no grip under the blanket of fallen leaves.
The Clubman A route was hardly easy and, significantly, the top three finishers were the elder statesmen of Yorkshire trialling.
West Leeds veteran Nigel Crowther put his Vertigo at the top of the results ahead of Graham Tales and James Noble who rode a Montesa 4Str in the trial and not his Ariel machine.
Darren Mitchell excelled in Clubman B riding the entire six sections in the west ravine without penalty on lap one.
He dabbed the fourth on lap three and dropped five more marks in the narrow stream at eight and nine and dab on the grassy 13th at the west end of the meadow.
Mark Chippendale was right on Darren's case but a one and five in the penultimate section ended his victory hopes.
At least Chippers was ahead of his team-mates Mark Forster and Chris Manby in the final count.
Some of the youths rode out of class. Beth Waite and Gabby Whitham elected to ride Class A Youth leaving Charlie Mosley to rule Class B over Edward Earle and Aaron Carter.
Megan Savage won the Out of Class Youths in Clubman B from Josh Chew and Olivia Brooksbank, the Barnsley girl certainly attacking the fallen tree at section six in high speed style.
Myles Hutchinson and Imogen Laws headed their classes but Ryan Shepherd dominated the Middle course class.
