Leamington Victory Boxing Day Trial
By Colin Bullock on 30th Dec 14
Once again the Leamington Victory Clubs Boxing Day Trial at Ufton was well supported. It does not do any harm to start and finish in the village pub car park!
Before the bar could be visited however there was the small matter of eight sections on the Warwickshire banks to deal with.
Steve Harris had a cracking day to win the A route with a five mark victory over Guy Kenyon Bell.
Guy actually held the advantage for much of the event and went into his final lap in front but three fives would mess up his card and Steve kept his losses down to take the win.
Ian Watts came home third with the middle hazards keeping him out of contention with the top two.
Ben Sprigg had an unexpected outing on the B route and following his terrible work related hand injury his return was very welcome. Feet up all the way he had a clear win over vet Ali Haigh.
