QUITE how Steve Ireland and his band of merry men manage to run so many quality events is really quite astounding! Not only have the WOR crew got to build and design the awesome Tough One' course in time for this Saturday's (January 20) event, but they took on the task running two superb Hare and Hound events on Sunday.

Set in the magnificent Nantmawr Quarry and using a small but enjoyable course that was well received by all the riders, the team used the usual format of the Beg-inners, Novice, Youth and Ladies ride in the morning and an Expert, Clubman, Veteran and Sportsman race in the afternoon session.

New for 2007 is the fact that the WOR events in the morning are now two hours long (up from 90 minutes previously), while the afternoon sessions will now run from anything between two to four hours.
This particularly beautiful sunny Sunday saw a limited entry of 140 riders – 70 riders per race. The organisers kept numbers down so they could run a smaller all-weather circuit for two fun filled two-hour sessions.
