TELFORD-based Jason Thomas was in simply untouchable form once again on his 250 Yamaha at the latest WOR Events production at what is easily one of the UK's finest off road venues, Llanfyllin.
Thomas was just minutes short of lapping theentire field over the 2.5-hour duration and had an amazing six-minutelead at the 40-minute point. He ending up 13-minutes ahead by the endof play.
Mr Consistent, Lincoln Brewster was as alwaysthere or there abouts, pushing hard and chomping at the bit to take avery well earned second place after a race long battle with Andy Cripps.
Cripps dropped off the pace late on withover-heating problems and this allowed Justin Wilson to take the finalpodium place with a great ride.
Wilson was out on a 250 Yamaha for the first time.As the race progressed, Wilson got quicker and he was going great gunscome the last 45 minutes.
With rain on the Saturday absolutely soaking theparking area, it was a worry for the organisers as to how the awesomecircuit would hold out.
However, the track was perfect, staying rideableand solid throughout although obviously it would have been much easierin dry conditions.
The Clubman class was topped by young Daffyd Joneson his flying RM250, although he was hotly pursued by Mike Evans andAlun Jones.
The fastest Over 35 rider was Allan Hopwood withan easy class win over Des Cowley. A podium finish has been a long timecoming for Des and he was elated at the end to secure some silverware.
Colin Jones is back on form in Over 45 and took a tidy win from Ray Whittal and Paul Cook.
