All set at Cadders Hill

The second round of the Maxxis British Sidecar-cross Championship will be hosted by Norwich Viking MCC at its superb Cadders Hill track, at Lyng, Norfolk, on Sunday, April 11. Although club members had been unable to work on the track until the second week of March because of the weather, they have now virtually finished the preparation and the track is reported to be in perfect condition.
Just less than 30 sidecar teams have entered the event with the current champions Stuart Brown/ Luke Peters leading this year's championship by just seven-points. They won all three legs at the venue last year despite Stuart sustaining a broken foot in the first race.
In second place are the very experienced crew of Scott Wilkinson/ David Keane who won the first race at Canada Heights after Scott had spent most of the winter recovering from a number of niggling injuries sustained towards the end of last season. Scott comes from the Portsmouth area but David lives near Braintree. Just one-point behind in third spot are the young West Country chargers, Daniel and Joe Millard. They came second in each leg at Lyng in 2009 and will be looking to take the top spot this time round.
Chasing the top three are a number of young crews including Richard Jenkins/ Pete Girling who are currently fourth, Alfie Hyde/ Craig Parmenter ninth, Stickle Jarvis/ Ryan Humphrey tenth and Brett Wilkinson/ Ross Parmenter 11th.
With nine teams competing in the opening round of the world championship series in Holland the week before, they should all be well prepared for the sandy terrain of Cadders Hill.
Also on the bill are MX1 and MX2 solos and possibly an Open Youth class. Practise starts at 9.45am with the first race straight afterwards at approx 11am. Admission for adults is just 8 with programmes priced at 2.
The track will be signposted from the A47 and the A1067 roads and for those with SatNav the post code is NR9 5AL.
Everyone attending the event is reminded that strictly NO DOGS are allowed'.
