Beta in Spain

THE 2012 World Trials Championship moves back to Europe this weekend (June 16/17) following its overseas outings to Australia and Japan.
And it is off to Spain for a double-header at Penarroya Pueblonuevo when the circus decamps for the fourth round of the series.
Toni Bou will of course start as hot favourite to pick up another double but Adam Raga proved in the series opener that Bou can be beaten.
Jeroni Fajardo is the season's mover and shakerand since returning to Beta has eased into second place with Sherco's Albert Cabestany.
Said Jeroni: "I don't think we can beat Toni to the title but maybe in an individual event. In any case I am looking to finish in the top three by the end of the season – but second would be nice!
"But the standard of riding is very high this year, I have trained very hard for this series and there is no room for any mistakes. I am looking for top three on both days in Spain where it is always important for Spanish riders to do well.”
Looking to get his World Championship back on track will be Adam Raga who had a nightmare in Japan with fifth and sixth places and he will be looking to roar back to the top for Gas Gas.
Britain will be well represented in the Championship class with James Dabill, Michael Brown, Jack Challoner and Alexz Wigg looking for top 10, with Dibs and Michael hoping to break into the top five.
In the Junior class it will be all down to Jack Sheppard as he looks to get on terms with the class leaders on his 300 Beta after struggling with his weakened wrist.
French rider Steven Coquelin may be easing ahead in the Youth class but Britain's Bradley Cox is currently sitting in an excellent second place and on current form looks hot for top three.
