In the All Spares British SuperQuadder series, staged by NORA-Sport at Blyton Raceway, Lincolnshire, over the weekend, Mark Donnelly had an excellent first race and came over the finish line 15-seconds ahead of Daniel McDermott, with Matt Lawry finishing in third place,
Joe Hodgson found himself unable to carry on when a slight slip in concentration led to some unforeseen machinery problems, and Gareth Thomas had problems in qualification which prevented him starting race one.
In race two Mark Donnelly claimed another win, but with Mike Taylor back in contention after his race one problems, there were some fierce battles for second spot. Mike came over the line in second, but just three-tenths of a second clear of Daniel McDermott. And there was more close racing taking place for sixth and seventh positions, with Craig Kilner just in front of Brian Rodwell.
In the third and final race of the day, Mark Donnelly completed his third clear and convincing win, with Mike Taylor in second spot and Daniel McDermott once again in third, though Daniel had a better points result than Mike because of his second place finish in race one.
Matt Lawry unfortunately spun out and couldn't make up the lost ground.
