The BSMA is looking to up its game even further in 2011 with its new GT Cup Series which is effectively a massive shake-up of the current BSMA National Series. With Golden Tyre on board as head-line sponsor, the organisation has attracted further support from sponsorship from many different companies across. The BSMA Management team will administer the entire series.

The GT Cup itself, which was launched at the BSMA Finals, will be won by the highest point-scorer across the series, meaning that a rider from any group could scoop the top prize. The cup will be retained by the BSMA and displayed whenever possible. Counting events will take place on some of the UK's best tracks on the last weekend of each month from March through to August. The final round in August will be held over the Bank Holiday weekend with racing taking place on Saturday and Sunday and the final presentation of all awards on the Monday morning. The GT Cup has received great support and sponsorship from many different companies who have supplied some fantastic prizes which will not only be won at the conclusion of the series but also a selection at each round. There will be classes for Auto, SW85, BW85, MX2 Open Senior (125/ 250F/ 144) and MX1 Adult Open. Registration is £180 per rider with an additional £80 per youth or £90 per adult rider per round.
