The ACU is excited to announce that the opening round of the BYMX Championship will now take place at the newly revamped Brampton Circuit.

The opening round of the series will take place on March 12/13. The revamp of the circuit means that the start straight has been moved to the bottom of the circuit next to the Paddock, along with a number of other changes.

With many riders spending time during the winter months training in sandy conditions preparing for the season opener, the ACU has been conscious that it was important that the rescheduled event should be run on similar terrain. The Brampton club is capable of producing events of the highest standard and utmost professionalism, having hosted a number of top level motocross events in recent years, including Maxxis and BYMX events.

ACU chairman, Brian Higgins, commented: "Firstly I would like to say how grateful we all are to the Brampton Club for stepping into the position and agreeing to host the opening round of the BYMX championship.

"We are delighted to be going to the newly revamped Brampton circuit after the club has spent such a large amount of time and effort redeveloping the circuit into one of the best sand circuits in the country. We are sure that the venue will produce some exciting and close racing, which is ideal for the opening round of the 2011 season.”
