Bro Cader Motor Cycle Club is set to host the Luscombe Suzuki Leeds British Youth Class A and B Trials Championship at the splendid Cesailgwm Bach venue, near Dolgellau, on Sunday, July 3.
The venue hosted a national Youth C and D championship three-years ago, but on Sunday the skill factor rises to cater for the Youth A and B classes. The series leaders have not a turned a championship wheel since the Westmorland round way back in cold, damp April, almost four-months ago. North Wales on Sunday marks the mid-point in the series with just the North Wast Centre and Mansfield Maun in October remaining.
Oxford's Bradley Cox rules Youth A from Westmorland winner Chris Stay and outgoing Youth B champion Luke Walker.
Significantly Cox was the best on observation at the National Mintex Youth Time and Observation Trial last Sunday in North Yorkshire. Add in George Gosden, Tom Dexter, Sam Yeadon, Corey Dubik, Jack Stones and brothers Brad and Dec Bullock and South Wales contender Joel Edwards.
In Youth B, Iwan Roberts rides on home ground. Taller, stronger, but still a lightweight, the Welsh Youth Champion won Westmorland and aims to get the best out of his Beta-UK machine.
Denby Dale Gas Gas rider, Jack Price, leads the series and will pose a major threat to Roberts. Dan Peace, Billy Bolt and James Stones are the likely lads to foil Price and Roberts. There is also the threat from Knighton's Andrew Rowlands.
The lap is roughly a mile of rocky outcrops and muddy banks with 12-sections.
Narrow streams form a damp backdrop to the trial, so waterproof boots etc are a must!
