JST Gas Gas rider Ross Danby intends to maintain his 100 per cent winning record in Yorkshire on Sunday, when he enters the Lion's Den at Dob Park. Totally on form, as his fine Bemrose Trophy trial ride testified a fortnight ago, Danby's style could just be the key to another 20 championship points.
The lions in the den though include Dan and Ben Hemingway, James Lampkin, Sam and Ben Ludgate, Chris Pearson and Dan Farrer. Throw in the visitors including reigning Novogar champion James Fry, Jason Bayliss, Matthew Jones and Aran Drachenberg and the final outcome could well be a lottery.
A total of 85 riders will leave the start including non-Novas Graham Jarvis, Michael Phillipson, Ian Austermuhle, Dan Thorpe and Mika Vesterinen who all know a good trial when they see one.
James Bobble' Noble and Andrew Carter have grafted for several weeks to prepare a cracking one lap 40 section course. The format is Dob Park, Dob Park Ford, Sword Point and its rooted, rocky delights, maybe Les's Rocks, angled sump crackers, then Low Snowden (no spectators thank you) with a crunch time finale in Brown's Wood.
No overnight camping in Dob Park but Mrs Wardle will be serving early breakfasts on Sunday morning before Jamie Jones kick his 300 Gas Gas into life at 09.31am.
Please park as instructed by the parc ferme marshals and have a great day out courtesy of the Yeadon Guiseley faithful.
