ULSTER'S favourite motocrosser, Gordon Crockard, who will be 31 this month, is considering a fresh challenge for next year.

"I'm seriously looking at the enduro scene which would suit my style of riding,” said the three-times British motocross champion from Newtownards.

"Recently, I took part in the first round of the World Indoor Enduro Cup series in Sheffield and thoroughly enjoyed myself,” explains ‘the Crockstar'. "I hope to compete in a couple more rounds.”

"I got better as the evening wore on and in the third and final race I was sixth,” said Crockstar. "But it really should have been a fifth.

"Overall, I ended-up in 11th place in what was a truly international field. My experience of trials riding was a distinct advantage.

"Looking back on my motocross career I got more out of the sport than what I had ever dreamt of. I have no regrets but I think that it's time for a new challenge.”
