Cornwall Schoolboy SC's Charlene Vernon was kindly invited by track designer Johnny Hawkins, track builder John Oliver, and land owner John Julian, to try out the new Fraddon circuit. So here's what she thought...

Fraddon has always been one of my favourite tracks to ride on with the Cornwall Schoolboy Scramble club. When I arrived, the old track had been totally transformed, hosting table tops, step ups, ski jumps, two sections of whoops and even its very own Sand section. The track is extremely wide from start to finish, and the Design is based on being as safe as possible in every area with intrest to both Beginners and Experts. Jumps are designed well so that if your confident you can get masses of air, but if your not so confident they are safe to have a go at or just simply roll them.

As well as a brand new top spec track, there has also been many spectators facilites put in.These include a wooden fenced and gravelled spectator areas, shower and toilet facillities, and a full speaker system all around the track. On top of that is a an underground Subway that allows spectators to walk under one of the track's jumps to cross to better viewing areas whilst racing is on.

On June 26/27, Fraddon Moto Park re-opens for the first time.

British champion and Des Nations team winner Rob Hering will be opening the track on the Saturday, and he will also be running a training day for 24 riders which has already been fully booked.

Also, in the overspill car park Andrew Savery from Wheeldon Motocross is going to be bringing a van load of Suzuki DRZ70 and DRZ125 as part of an induction day for begginers, so you can get the feel for MX under his watchful eye. He has also specified that the two most promising riders he sees will be given a sponsorship ride at Cornwall Schoolboy Scramble club's championship round five on the Sunday, June 27, where Rob Herring has agreed to compete in the AMX class.

So come on kids, get your mum and dad to ring Andrew Savery at Wheeldon Motocross on 01548-821784 to book your place and chance to be one of the lucky two.

And you big kids who want to share the track with a British Champion, book in to ride with Cornwall Schoolboy Scramble Club.on www.cornwallssc.webs.com or by phone on 07933-877444.''
