Eastwood will be the man to beat

WITH two hotly contested and highly successful rounds already in the bag, the DEP British Two-stroke Motocross Championship heads for Cornwall this weekend as over 300 riders descend on the spectacular Landrake circuit for the third instalment of what is fast becoming one of the most talked about and professional series in the UK.
Series promoters MCFederation and its merry team of skilled and pro-active staff will stage the event at the Landrake circuit for the first time in this year's ten round championship and the fast, technical Cornish venue will provide the perfect setting for some serious smoker action.
Leading the charge for the championship in the Expert 250cc class is the brilliant Mark Eastwood. With a dominant 100% record at the two opening rounds, Mark is the red hot favourite to take another victory at Landrake but, as the veteran stated in last week's T+MX, he will need to be on his top game once again to stay ahead of his competition in the shape of Ryan Voase, Stuart Flockhart, who will be looking to make up for an injury forced no-show at round two, David Willet and Ben Taylor if he has any chance of landing the British crown.
In the 125cc Expert class, super-fit double class rider David Willet has been the rider to beat and holds a few points advantage over second placed Nicky Watts, but Watts will be determined to gain an overall win at Landrake to stop Willet running away with the championship.
With the likes of Relentless Suzuki team members Matt Ridgway and Jim Davies as well as TM's Stuart Edmonds all adding to the two-stroke fun in the class, it's going to be a real cracker again.
As well as the A class races on show, the championship is backed-up with support classes in each category, so if you're down in Cornwall and fancy a day out at the races then Landrake is the place to be - and to top it all, it's free to get in!
