THE MC Federation's innovative Elite Youth League kicks in to action when the South Somerset MX Club runs the first of its eight League events this weekend. The venue for this event is the revamped Whiteway Barton track, close to Newton Abbot in Devon.

The circuit, now in the hands of Barry Moore and Dave Thorpe, has been considerably redesigned with the aid of top track builder Johnny Douglas Hamilton. The team have also spent a considerable amount of time and investment renewing all of the safety fencing. Whiteway Barton has been a long established circuit running top quality events including the Patchquick trophy meetings and is already proving popular in its new format with a full calendar for 2010.

The Elite Youth League presents the opportunity for clubs to go head to head throughout the season on a league table basis, each MCF Youth club will nominate eight of their events to count towards the League and seven riders from each class AMX, Rookie, Big-wheel 85cc, Small-wheel 85cc, Junior 65cc and Auto will score points towards the club's total.
