PAUL Brown set up Team Traction Racing to run quad cross country events in the south east after complaints from riders that there were not enough events in Kent and Sussex. Three events in and he's wondering why he bothered.Paul writes:

‘'I am very disappointed with the attendance at my meetings. All I have heard about in both QUAD mag and TMX, as well as between riders, is that there aren't enough places to ride in the south east.

"So I set up www.teamtractionracing.co.uk and yet people seem to be put off by either the weather or the economic downturn. My sons and I have ridden and raced in all conditions, including snow and ice. In fact, that is normally the best time to ride.''

Paul added ‘'The riders who have attended our early meetings say they love the tracks and are grateful that an ambulance is always on hand. The emphasis is on safety and enjoyment.

"Because there are different classes, riders can go at their own pace and stop for a break and just enjoy the day, rather than race, if that's what they want to do.

"We do like to make the tracks different and ride at different venues in Kent and Sussex, and both kids and adults are welcome at out meetings.

"I have been allowing Solos to attend in the hope that they may progress to four wheels, but we will play that by ear.

"We are still on the look out for venues in Kent and Sussex and anyone with any possible new venues can contact me on 07905-387873 or by e-mail at p13rwn@aol.com''
